here are some of our personal favorite things to do and things to see in sheridan, from a local’s perspective.

Things to do in sheridan, wyo

without a doubt, wyoming is the cowboy state. without cattle ranching, this state wouldn’t exist and sheridan is located in the heart of cattle country. our western ways are something we’re proud of. from the renowned sheridan wyo rodeo, held every july, to the cultural icon that is king’s saddlery. at king’s, you’ll find a western museum and get the chance to see how some of the world’s best ropes are made. while you’re at king’s take a walk across the street over to the famous mint bar, one of the west’s original watering holes for outlaws and icons. if history and art are your thing, a drive out to the beautiful brinton museum is a must.

discover Sheridan’s craft brewery scene.

Sheridan is home to three fantastic breweries all within walking distance of each other in our historic downtown. Smith alley brewing company is our go to for delicious burgers. Our favorite is the mac attack with texas toast, pepper jack cheese, bacon, smothered in mac and cheese (it’s messy, but worth it). Black tooth brewery is an iconic local brewery that has since spread its love around the state, becoming a staple in wyoming breweries. here you’ll find live music, great beer (try the bomber mountain amber ale), and usually hosts some of sheridan’s best food trucks. just down the street from black tooth you’ll find the more cozy luminous brewhouse. we recommend trying the black mountain coffee stout.

explore our western heritage

there’s no better way to immerse yourself with local culture than by attending local events. of course, events are date dependent, so check dates before planning. Here’s a calendar for local events. 3rd thursday events are one of our personal favorites. with craft vendors, live music, food trucks, and more, all in historic downtown sheridan.

get the adrenaline pumping with more epic adventures!

There’s more ways to get the heart pumping than just renting our can-am utvs. we highly recommend getting in the air and seeing wyoming via the sky with the 307 pilots association. take a scenic flight over the bighorn mountains and surrounding areas. fly over canyons, mountain peaks, lakes, and the city of sheridan. if feet on the ground is more your style, rent one of our can-ams and spend the day (or two) at Spear-O-Wigwam. Take a guided fly fishing trip, book a horseback ride, or rent a kayak on the beautiful park reservoir!
